A Second Opinion gives you a broader description of the candidate’s personality than after your own interview. Academic Search tries to identify, strengthen and clarify different qualities / competencies of the candidates, but also development areas and potentially sensitive parts that you can include as input to future development talks.

You get the opportunity to tailor the arrangement based on what you feel you need help with. Maybe you have two perfect final candidates and you need help making a decision about who is most suitable for the position. Or you have a candidate that you have evaluated and find interesting based on, for example, driving forces and personal qualities, but you find it difficult to evaluate the candidate’s skills.
