Bel Nordic – Financial Accountant

About the role

As a Financial Accountant at Bel Nordic, we offer you an exciting, challenging and stimulating position in a well-known company. You will have a key role within the financial organization and manage a variety of tasks. Your main responsibility will be daily accounting operations including contacts with the banks and the customers regarding incoming and outgoing payments, cost follow up, creating PO and parts of foreign currency trade. Reporting, reconciliation and payment of VAT, personnel withholding tax and social security costs to Swedish tax authorities, will also be one of your main responsibilities. In addition, you will handle monthly payroll- and HR administrative tasks, including travel expenses.

You will be a part of a close-knit group of a few individuals known for their unpretentious, collaborative, and versatile approach. The new office is located in central Malmö (Södergatan).

Primary Responsibilities

· Responsible for daily accounting operations and reconciliations

· Responsible for suppliers ledger

· Responsible for payment of supplier invoices (in PACE payment proposals)

· Responsible for customer payments, cash collection on time

· Responsible for reporting, reconciliation and payment of VAT, personnel withholding tax and social security costs to Swedish tax authorities

· Responsible for monthly closings and reconciliations, calculations and supporting schedules for yearly closing

· Responsible for credit information

· Responsible for statistical information to authorities and organizations

· Responsible for purchase validation strategy

· Responsible for employee handbook update

· Responsible for daily HR administration and payroll reconciliations/conformation

· Participation in budget process

· Participation in preparation of income tax return

· Key User in PACE modules Finance and Controlling (SAP)

· Work closely with the External auditors and with the Head Office teams based in Paris’ suburb (treasury, consolidation internal control, internal audit, accounting)

· Anticipate and communicate of any information important for the business or any unusual requests/invoices/payments

· Responsible for the Day to day office management logistics

Candidate Profile

We are looking for someone who is an excellent communicator and a generous co-worker. As you will be a part of a small team, it is crucial that you are flexible, humble and taking on a great responsibility and initiatives. You have good problem-solving skills and the ability to excel under pressure. In this role you also need to be organized, analytical and structured. You possess excellent time management capabilities, ensuring the consistent meeting of deadlines. You contribute to a positive and nice work-environment, and you know how to motivate and coach your colleagues. With both internal and external contact points, it is important to have good presentation and communication skills. Moreover, fluency in both spoken and written Swedish and English is essential, with English being the corporate language.

Qualifications

· University Degree or equivalent practical experience with 5-10 years of experience on accounting, tax and payroll processes

· Excellent accounting, tax and payroll background

· ERP software skills, SAP particularly & good knowledge of Excel and Power BI

· Fluent in English and Swedish, French a plus
