We are now looking for an Innovation Engineering Manager to lead one of our core R&D teams – with responsibility for driving innovation, ensuring technical excellence, and shaping the future of our product offering. This is a key role for coordinating product-related initiatives across the organisation and being a strong partner to both market and operations.

Role description:

Responsibility
As Innovation Engineering Manager, you will lead a skilled and engaged team working at the intersection of technology, product development and business strategy. Your main focus is to drive technical innovation, safeguard product quality and coordinate development efforts across departments. You will act as the technical owner of Ecophon’s products and components and play a central role in supporting both current business and long-term innovation. This also involves product certifications and coordination with production units and maintained product compliance after launch.

Your key responsibilities include:

• Leading and developing the Innovation Engineering team, with five direct reports, including the Product Engineering Manager and the Product Development Manager, who each have their own teams reporting to them

• Member of the R&D and Innovation Management Team

• Ensuring strong collaboration and coordination across R&D, Operations, Marketing and Business Units

• Driving product and technical innovation with a long-term, strategic perspective

• Acting as a proactive and knowledgeable technical counterpart to Marketing

• Collaborate with Research in anticipating future needs, identifying weaknesses and setting direction for technical development

• Managing cost budget and resource planning

• Owning technical documentation, drawings, specifications and certifications

• Driving product-level sustainability performance and related certifications

Who are we looking for?

Profile
We are looking for a technically strong and strategically minded leader with solid experience from product development, innovation and/or engineering. You have a Master’s degree in engineering or a related technical field, and you have successfully led teams or cross-functional initiatives. You are comfortable operating in a complex, matrixed organisation and collaborating across functions. Experience from the construction or manufacturing industry is highly valuable. Fluency in English is required; French is a strong advantage.

You have a strong technical foundation, together with the ability to zoom out and take a strategic, businessoriented perspective. You are a confident communicator who can coordinate efforts, manage expectations and stand firm in discussions – both within your team and in cross-functional settings. Your ability to build credibility and drive alignment makes you a natural point of contact for stakeholders across the company. You thrive in a dynamic environment, and you enjoy being the link between technology, market needs and strategic direction. This position is located in Hyllinge, outside Helsingborg, and reports to the Director of Sustainability and Innovation.
