Intelligent Repair Solutions Sweden (IRS Sweden) is Sweden´s leading painting and refinishing chain, performing over 55,000 repairs annually across 20 locations. Headquartered in Malmö, we have around 200 employees and a turnover of 220 million SEK. The company is in a phase where there is a strong focus on implementing processes and structure to be able to fully explore the potential in the company. This is a truly holistic Business Controller position, covering many areas rather than the more “corporate” position where you take care of a specific area. You would describe yourself as more of the business-oriented generalist rather than the niched specialist.
This is a position with high visibility and high impact. The position is based in Malmö (Hyllie) with excellent commuting opportunities!
About the role
One of your main areas of responsibility will be to be in close dialogue with the different business units focusing on productivity, efficiency, profitability. You will pedagogically guide and challenge the units to create best possible business conditions.
Further, you can expect a dynamic context in a mixture of analysis, reporting, budgets, follow-up, preparing business cases, running projects. IRS Sweden also has plans to widen the portfolio of products, which also will make the position even more inspiring.
You operate in a European setting, but your responsibility covers the activities on the Swedish market where you more closely follow and analyse the activities of approximately 20 business units. Your position is fundamental in creating a more harmonized and efficient management of these units.
You work in very close dialogue and report to the CEO for our Swedish activities. Further, the position involves numerous interfaces throughout the organization. You are the only Business Controller focusing on Sweden, but this is not a “closing the door, doing my stuff” role, rather a very “taking dialogues and making things happen” role. A smaller amount of travelling involved.
Experience and background
· Academic degree
· A minimum of three years of relevant work experience
· You master excellent Swedish and English, orally as well as written
Personality
· Not introvert – does not need to be a max extrovert person either, but must be able to engage in dialogue with colleagues at all levels
· Pro active / self-employed / self-driven – likes to take responsibility – not just to get tasks
· Analytical – sense and ability to dive into data/processes – and the ability to see and challenge direction and opportunities
· Business oriented
· Team player
· Not a “champion in bookkeeping and the last detail” – but sees business and opportunities
· Desire to learn and challenge oneself (and others)
