Sever Pharma – Supply Chain Director

At Sever Pharma Solutions, we are now looking for a Director Supply Chain Management to take full ownership of our supply chain strategy and operations. Based at our headquarters in Malmö, this is a key leadership role with broad responsibility and the opportunity to make a real impact.

Sever Pharma Solutions is a contract development and manufacturing organisation (CDMO) specialised in high potent pharmaceuticals. For nearly five decades, our Malmö site has been developing and producing medicines for both global and smaller pharmaceutical companies. With around 340 employees across Sweden and the US, we continue to grow and invest for the future.

About the role

As Director Supply Chain Management, you will be responsible for overseeing and developing all aspects of our supply chain – from sourcing and planning to distribution and supplier management. You will lead and build a strong team, define key processes, and work closely with colleagues across the business to ensure we meet both operational targets and long-term goals.

This position is based at our headquarters in Malmö and reports to the VP Operations. You will be an active member of the broader leadership team and have 11 direct reports and a total team of 22 associates.

Key responsibilities include:

• Developing and implementing the company’s overall supply chain strategy to reduce costs, mitigate risk, improve quality, shorten lead times and reduce inventories.
• Leading and supporting the supply chain team, ensuring clear direction and accountability.
• Building structure and processes to improve efficiency, delivery performance, and cost control.
• Implementing Industry best practices for sales & operations planning, sourcing, risk mitigation, inventory and vendor management.
• Managing supplier relationships and negotiating agreements that support business needs.
• Working cross-functionally to support product development, sourcing, and lifecycle management to introduce products on time, on budget and in stock.
• Driving continuous improvement in planning, inventory, and risk management.
• Monitoring supply chain performance. Developing business intelligence reporting regularly on the supply chain performance, utilizing the data to evaluate past performance and trends, forecasting accuracy and distribution requirements.

Your background

• Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management or related field
• At least 5 years of leadership experience within Supply Chain in a manufacturing environment
• Experience from the Pharmaceutical or Medical device industry is a strong advantage
• Proven ability to develop and implement supply chain strategy, long range planning and business cases.
• Lean and/or Six Sigma experience is beneficial
• Solid proficiency in BI and ERP systems (M3 experience ii beneficial)
• Excellent MS Office skills especially in Excel and PowerPoint
• Fluent in both English and Swedish
