Baltic Cable AB was established in 1991 and the cable, connecting the Swedish and German electricity markets, became operational in 1994. More about the role

You will be part of the commercial team and report to the Commercial Director.

You will be instrumental in carrying out commercial analysis and delivering results. Some of the areas in the position:

• Analyzing business models

• Financial modelling

• Investment analysis

• Cost/benefit analysis

• Evaluate M&A prospects

• Data Management

• Provide top-tier recommendations

In this role, you will partner with your colleagues to develop the strategy and business plans. You will take on a role with significant responsibility and will have the possibility to influence both your own assignments and the shaping of Baltic Cable. You will hold an important role in the transition journey Baltic Cable has commenced.

Basic competences

• Academic degree

• Experience from having worked within the energy, water, infrastructure, or other sectors of a societal importance, either in a company in these sectors or within a consulting company working towards these sectors

• Strong analytical skills in the commercial areas

• Being able to navigate vast data and extract crucial information for decision making

• 1-5 years of professional experience

• Language skills; English and Swedish required, German is considered an advantage

Additional requirements

The candidate has an openness and readiness to analyse commercial opportunities and put them in the context of Baltic Cable. You are eager to learn, have a quick grasp and are open to work on a big variety of topics related to European electricity markets. Further, an entrepreneurial mindset, capability to work independently and assume responsibility is critical in this position. The position requires taking own initiatives. The position also involves many touchpoints with other organizations and therefore a commercially minded and business-oriented profile with strong presentation skills is required.

You are located at our office in Malmö. The position will also require travelling on a regular basis.

The Baltic Cable is a high-voltage direct current (HVDC) transmission line between Lübeck in Germany and Kruseberg near Malmö in Sweden. The cable started operations in 1994. Baltic Cable is a certified Transmission System Operator (TSO) connecting European electricity markets.
