Somfy – Area Sales Manager

Somfy is looking for a commercially strong Area Sales Manager who wants more than account management. This is a role for someone who enjoys creating growth, influencing market direction and becoming the trusted partner for key customers across Sweden.

You will take ownership of Somfy’s Professional channel in Sweden and become the driving force behind its continued growth. Working closely with installers, retailers, assemblers and manufacturers, you will help customers create innovative smart home solutions powered by Somfy’s market-leading motors and intelligent control systems. By building strategic partnerships, identifying new growth opportunities and expanding Somfy’s market presence, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the professional channel across Sweden.

What you will do:

  • Grow and develop strategic customer partnerships across Sweden.
  • Create and execute regional sales plans that deliver measurable commercial results.
  • Identify new business opportunities and convert market potential into revenue.
  • Lead negotiations and commercial discussions with key decision makers.
  • Analyse market trends, customer performance and competitive developments to stay ahead of the market.
  • Drive pricing, forecasting and business planning discussions.
  • Represent Somfy at customer meetings, industry events and strategic partnerships.
  • Collaborate closely with marketing, customer service, supply chain and other internal stakeholders to maximise customer value.

Who we are looking for

You are an experienced B2B sales professional with a track record of delivering growth in a technical, dealer-driven or manufacturing environment. You combine commercial sharpness with strategic thinking and know how to build credibility at every level of an organisation.

You are comfortable challenging the status quo, spotting opportunities others miss and turning ideas into action. Customers trust your advice because you understand both their business and the wider market dynamics.

 

You bring:

  • At least 10 years of relevant B2B sales experience.
  • University degree or higher vocational education in Business Administration, International Business, Business and Management, Engineering or a related field. 
  • Proven success in account management, channel development and business growth.
  • Strong commercial and analytical skills.
  • Experience working with technical products or solutions.
  • Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Fluency in Swedish and English.
  • Willingness to travel throughout Sweden, preferably living in or near Malmö/Stockholm.
