Oriflame – Procurement Category Manager

Oriflame is now looking for a Procurement Category Manager, Fragrance to join their Global Procurement team and play a key role in their continued journey forward. In this role, you will work closely with global suppliers and internal stakeholders, driving strategic initiatives, negotiations and category development within one of Oriflame’s most business-critical and creative categories.
About the role
The Procurement Category Manager is an integral part of the Global Procurement and Product Development set-up, operating within a newly shaped team with a positive and forward-looking mindset. The role is responsible for securing strong commercial outcomes while enabling the company’s innovation ambitions within Fragrance, in a context where ways of working are still evolving.
Working in a dynamic environment, this role requires a proactive, hands-on and self-driven approach, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and contribute with new ideas. By partnering closely with R&D, Marketing, Packaging, Quality and Supply Chain, the role ensures Strategic Sourcing as well as early procurement involvement in New Product Development. Further it also manages existing products, creates and builds supplier relationships and supports successful, timely product launches.
As Procurement Category Manager, you will report to the Product Delivery Senior Manager, with a base at the Oriflame office in central Stockholm.
Main Responsibilities
This role owns the procurement strategy and execution for fragrance packaging components, leads supplier relationships, and drives negotiation such as but not limited to – cost, terms, lead times, MOQs to support profitable growth and resilient supply.
The main categories within the responsibilities are:
- Sourcing Strategy
- Supplier Relationship Management
- New Product Development
- Stakeholder Management
- Leadership (no direct reports)
- Spend management
- Processes optimization
Tasks include but not limited to:
- Develop and implement sourcing and category strategies for fragrance packaging components
- Segment the supplier base and maintain strong market knowledge (cost drivers, trends, supplier capabilities)
- Identify, qualify and onboard new suppliers to support evolving business needs
- Own the supplier base and drive performance, relationship health and allocation
- Lead supplier negotiations and manage contracts, terms and risk mitigation activities
- Drive continuous improvement across cost, quality, service and sustainability metrics
- Resolve critical supplier issues and ensure effective recovery and continuity
- Lead end-to-end procurement activities for NPD projects from concept through to launch
- Ensure early sourcing input and robust cost assessments to support decision-making
- Build strong cross-functional collaboration and drive spend management, cost savings and process excellence
In the role as Procurement Category Manager, you will be playing an instrumental part within procurement and the spend area, working in a dynamic and evolving environment with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders. You are expected to take ownership, work proactively and deliver results within tight timelines, while contributing to how the team continues to develop its ways of working, aligned with Oriflame’s culture of Togetherness, Spirit and Passion.
Your Profile
To be successful, you need to be a strong influencer, have solid organizational skills and be comfortable handling multiple inputs and requirements from various stakeholders, often under time pressure. You will manage complex negotiations with suppliers where you need to structure your approach, act confidently and take decisions. You possess a positive and curious mindset, embrace change and are comfortable navigating ambiguity. You can influence and gain buy-in from key functions, and are motivated by driving results, collaborating across teams and creating business value. The work environment is global, fast-paced and entrepreneurial – priorities can shift, requiring flexibility and a willingness to contribute with ideas and improvements.
Furthermore, we see that you have:
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in Procurement and/or extended Supply Chain environment.
- Proven track record of managing spend and suppliers with a complex and wide range of products with the highest quality standards
- Experience from the Cosmetics, Food or FMCG industry
- Working knowledge of multiple spend categories, e-procurement processes and systems
- Excellent presentation skills, both written and verbal
- High degree of problem solving and analytical skills and ability to grasp the bigger picture and prioritize among high workload and changing requirements
- Strong collaboration, change management and influencing skills
- Ability to work in diverse cultural and geographic environments and adhere to highest ethical standards.
- Fluent English – writing and speaking.
- Academic education is required. A master’s degree, CIPS certification or equivalent is considered meritorious.
