On behalf of client – Financial Controller

We are looking for a competent and detail-oriented Financial Controller with Estonian language skills to join the Estonian entity in a Global company, working from Sweden or Tallinn. This is a broad and hands-on role, offering the opportunity to work close to the business while contributing to high-quality financial reporting and continuous process improvement.

As Financial Controller, you will take ownership of key accounting processes, including the month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, and statutory reporting. You will ensure accurate and timely financial information, support budgeting and forecasting activities, and provide insightful analysis to support business decisions.

The role also includes responsibility for accounts receivable and payable, cash and bank reconciliations, VAT reporting, and coordination with payroll providers. You will play an important part in managing credit control and debt follow-up, as well as maintaining strong internal controls and compliance with financial policies.

You will collaborate closely with business leaders, group finance, and external auditors, acting as a key link between finance and the wider organization.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing month-end close and financial reporting processes
• Ownership of balance sheet and reconciliations
• Supporting budgeting and forecasting activities
• Overseeing accounts payable and receivable processes
• Handling VAT reporting and ensuring tax compliance
• Monitoring cash flow and preparing forecasts
• Supporting audits and ensuring compliance with internal policies
• Driving improvements in financial processes and systems

We are looking for someone who:

• Has solid experience in accounting and financial reporting
• Has a strong knowledge of Estonian local GAAP / law
• Has strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
• Is highly analytical with strong attention to detail
• Has excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Is a proactive team player with strong communication skills
• Has a strong affinity for digitalization and a proven ability to implement efficient tools and systemsIs
• Comfortable working in a dynamic, international environment
• Has strong Excel skills and experience with ERP systems (SAP is an advantage)
• Is fluent in both Estonian and English (required)
