About the role
As Senior Brand Manager, you will be instrumental in shaping the future of the Gevalia brand, currently undergoing a comprehensive brand review. You will be responsible for ensuring strong performance across consumer KPIs to drive long-term brand love, value, volume, and market share growth.
You will translate key market, category, and consumer insights into actionable strategies and brand messages. Initial major projects will include:
- Driving fundamental brand equity work to ensure local market relevance
- Recommending packaging and brand identity
- Collaborating with the team to define portfolio strategy
- Developing a refreshed 360° creative platform with the global marketing team
- Building omnichannel brand experiences where consumers engage
- Leading selected innovation projects
This role reports to the Category Marketing Manager Sweden / Denmark.
Other responsibilities in collaboration with manager & regional/global team
As Senior Brand Manager, you will play a key role in shaping Gevalia’s brand equity and ensuring effective creative execution. Working closely with your manager and the regional/global team, your responsibilities include:
Insights & Strategy:
- Analyze and translate consumer, market, and category insights into actionable brand strategies.
- Develop and monitor key brand KPIs, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Identify target groups and uncover insights that inform campaigns, activations, and innovation opportunities.
Creative Execution & Activation:
- Lead the implementation of the creative platform across all channels, ensuring consistency and brand alignment.
- Manage communications for core brand equity, new product launches, sustainability initiatives, partnerships, and PR activities.
- Collaborate with media teams and agencies to plan and execute campaigns, optimizing reach and impact.
- Support shopper activations, in-store experiences, and packaging development for both new products and the full range.
- Oversee project management and budget handling across multiple initiatives, including innovation projects.
Presentations & Collaboration:
- Prepare and deliver internal and external presentations, including business plans, sales meetings, and trade presentations.
- Work closely with internal teams, including Media & Digital, Consumer Insights, Finance, Global Marketing, Shopper & Activation, and SBMs category teams, ensuring smooth execution.
- Collaborate with external creative and media agencies and research partners.
- Engage key stakeholders across Sales, Global, and Regional teams to ensure alignment and maximize brand impact.
Qualifications
We are looking for an experienced Senior Brand Manager with:
- Minimum 7 years of relevant experience from FMCG marketing (strong brands, fast-paced environments)
- Analytical and strategic thinking – ability to turn data into insights, strategies, and plans
- Experience leading brand & category initiatives
- Strong project management skills and ability to navigate complex organizations
- Commercial understanding and business acumen
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
- Experience managing creative agencies, including budget responsibility
- Master degree in Marketing, Economics, or Business-related field
- Fluent in Swedish and English
