Brenntag Nordic is now looking for a Senior HR Manager Nordics to take the overall responsibility for the HR services on a Nordic level. This position comes with great opportunities to drive the Nordic HR-function. As Senior HR Manager Nordics, you will be responsible for the operational HR management and you will partner with, and coach, managers and employees when it comes to several strategic and operational HR related matters.

About the role
Brenntag Nordic is part of the Brenntag Group, the global market leader in chemical distribution. Brenntag provides B2B solutions for industrial and specialty chemicals by serving as a vital link between producers and end customers.

As the Manager HR Nordic, you are responsible for the customary functions within HR, as recruitment, employer branding, onboarding, labour law, leadership questions and education programs. You are also a part of projects which are issued by HR EMEA.

You will have managerial responsibility for a team of 5 people, including the payroll function. Most of your time will be spent in Malmö but travelling is required to other Swedish sites and the other Nordic sites. You will be a part of the Nordic management team and a part of the European HR-network.

The position is based in Malmö, and you will report to the Senior Director HR EMEA. Brenntag Nordic’s headquarters is in the newly built Point Hyllie, just outside Malmö – a modern office building with direct access to public transportation, shopping, and restaurants (Emporia), only 10 minutes from Copenhagen Airport and 5 minutes from Malmö Central Station.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Successfully drive HR in the day-to-day business by supporting the managers in the areas of leadership, recruitment, organizational development, health, safety, labour law and union negotiations
  • Attract, retain and develop the talents by supporting and coaching the line managers
  • Drive and align the sites when it comes to policies and processes linked to the HR area
  • Lead and take part in both strategic and operational projects and tasks
  • Manage industrial relations, collective bargaining negotiations and contract provisions in cooperation with line managers
  • Assure implementation and administration of performance appraisal, job evaluation, compensation and benefits programs
  • Further on you will be responsible for upcoming projects including learning & development and implementations of new systems.

Experience and competences
To succeed in this position we believe you have a solid HR background, preferably from an industry where you have worked with a Nordic perspective, with approximately 5-12 years’ experience in HR managerial/Business partner roles.

We believe you are an experienced leader, and that you also have proven that you are a motivating leader who can build strong and successful teams. Further on, you have experience from reward and performance management, employee development and employer branding. We also believe you have strong knowledge of employment issues, Swedish labour law, collective agreements and union negotiations.

You have the ability to work in all organizational levels dealing with many different stakeholders and entities. With your excellent business acumen, you execute strategies aligned with company goals and you lead others through influence and collaboration. You are fluent in Swedish and English.

As a person you enjoy a fast-paced environment and with your open-minded approach you often take initiative to change. You enjoy being a partner and coach to all the employees and managers, and as a leader you have a coaching and mentoring approach. You have excellent teamwork skills, and your communication and negotiation skills are convincing.
