Arjo – Head of Leadership & Development

Do you want to shape the future of leadership, culture, and learning on a truly global scale?

At Arjo, we are looking for a Head of Leadership & Development who is ready to build something meaningful from the ground up. This is a rare opportunity to take on a highly visible, strategic, and hands-on global role where your work directly influences how colleagues worldwide grow, lead, and collaborate to improve quality of life for people facing mobility challenges.

If you are driven by impact, inspired by purpose, and energized by creating modern, engaging development experiences — this role offers the platform, trust, and global reach to truly make a difference.

Empowering careers at Arjo

At Arjo, we know what moves us. We go above and beyond for people facing mobility challenges. We take every opportunity to work and grow as one team and take pride in sharing our knowledge and experience. Does that sound like something that moves you too?

This could be your opportunity to take on a highly visible and hands-on leadership role within a global healthcare company, driving the development of learning, culture, and leadership across the organization.

The Impact You Will Have

As Head of Leadership & Development, you will build Arjo’s global L&D function from the ground up. You will design, implement, and lead programs that strengthen leadership, culture, values, and organizational growth. This is a hands-on, strategic, and highly visible role where you will act as a motor for L&D initiatives while collaborating with HR leaders, MDs, and senior executives worldwide.

You will ensure alignment with Arjo’s business strategy and culture, develop structured learning programs, and implement initiatives that embed a learning and development mindset across the company.

What Makes This Role Unique

Individual Contributor with Global Impact

You will work independently while collaborating broadly across functions, geographies, and leadership levels.

Strategic & Operational Balance

You will define the vision and direction for L&D – and personally design, deliver, and measure programs, workshops, and initiatives.

Resourcefulness Required

Success in this role means leveraging networks, partnerships, and creative solutions to drive impact with limited resources.

A Collaborative and Supportive Group HR Team

You will be part of a small, close-knit Group HR team that works across functions and borders without silos. We collaborate, support one another, and ensure strong alignment between HR initiatives and business strategy.

Key Duties / Responsibilities

•          Develop and execute a global L&D strategy aligned with business goals and culture.

•           Design, deliver, and facilitate workshops, training programs, leadership development, mentoring, and “Train the Trainer” initiatives.

•          Lead culture and values projects, acting as both strategist and hands-on contributor.

•          Create training materials, courses, trainee programs, and scalable development formats.

•          Act as an ambassador for L&D, driving engagement and adoption across the organization.

•          Support HR and senior leaders in global development initiatives and cross-functional projects.

•          Build structure, processes, and frameworks for the L&D function, and measure and report its impact.

•          Collaborate with US leadership on executive programs and ensure cultural alignment.

•          Balance strategic planning with operational delivery in a global environment.

Qualifications & Experience

•          University degree in HR, pedagogy, psychology, or a related field.

•          7–10+ years of experience in Learning & Development, preferably in an international context.

•          Demonstrated success in building L&D functions and programs from scratch.

•          Hands-on experience designing and delivering workshops and training.

•          Experience in leadership development, mentoring, cultural transformation, and change management.

Personal Attributes

•          Strategic thinker with a strong hands-on approach.

•          Excellent communicator and relationship builder.

•          Proactive, self-driven, and resourceful.

•          Culturally aware, inclusive, and confident.

•          Passionate about learning and development.

•          Credible and capable of influencing without authority.
