Saint-Gobain Ecophon – Business Controller (Finance/BI)

We are looking for a Business Controller with a thorough process understanding to ensure and further develop the interface between Finance and IT. You will play a crucial role in managing our professional usage of data for our business needs.

About the role
As Business Controller you will bridge the gap between business and technology. You will lead our activities to retrieve relevant data from databases and data analysis tools and subsequently transform it into actionable business insights. You will work closely with our BI team ensuring a harmonized and streamlined approach when connecting IT with business needs.

You will be part of our Finance team and report to the Business Controlling Manager. 

The position is based in Hyllinge outside Helsingborg, at the Saint-Gobain Ecophon global headquarters. 

Key responsibilities

• Act as the key interface between Finance and IT (BI team), translating business requirements into effective data and reporting solutions.
• Leverage data analytics tools (such as Power BI, Excel, and M3) to analyze business performance and generate actionable insights. 
• Educate and train users on BI tools and reporting capabilities and promote the usage of the BI platform.
• Drive master data harmonization specifically item hierarchy.
• Contribute to pricing strategies, including price setting, discount structures, and providing data-driven recommendations to optimize margins and profitability.

Who are we looking for?

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
• Seniority, with 5-10 years in similar positions.
• Experience working with databases and data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Power BI)
• Strong understanding of financial processes, reporting, and business metrics.
• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• Experience of ERP systems (e.g., SAP, M3) is beneficial.
• Experience from international and complex organizations is an advantage.
