Saint-Gobain Ecophon – Business Data Product Owner

We are looking for a business- as well as technically skilled professional to join our data warehouse journey. You will play a crucial role in managing our transformation into our new data platform and ensure that business needs and technical solutions align seamlessly. The position is new, and you will have the opportunity to make a strong mark.

About the role

As Business Data Product Owner, you will bridge the gap between business and technology, leading efforts to migrate and develop our data warehouse into the platform Snowflake. You will work closely with a global team within the Saint-Gobain context hosting the platform, you will support reporting and analytics, and drive initiatives that enable better decision-making through data.

You will be part of a team of colleagues covering the domains ERP, CRM, E-apps, BI, Infrastructure and report to the Director IT and Digital.

Travelling is expected. The position is based in Hyllinge outside Helsingborg, at the Saint-Gobain Ecophon global headquarters.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee cloud data migration and transformation projects, create user stories aligning technical needs with business goals, collaborate with partners for implementation, and ensure solution validation through UAT and testing.
• Work closely with the Business Analyst responsible for Power BI reporting and interface to define the product vision, prioritize data needs, and ensure delivered insights meet business requirements.
• Act as a liaison between business and partner to make sure we get timely support, issues are resolved and continuously improve in line with business processes.
• Collaborate across business, IT, and international teams to adhere to Saint Gobain’s technical standards for cloud platforms, cybersecurity, and collaboration tools such as Jira , Collibra and Confluence.
• Ensure data quality, governance, and compliance with relevant regulations.
• Manage the budget.

Who are we looking for?

You have a degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or similar, combined with experience in data warehousing, SQL, cloud platforms (preferably Snowflake), and Power BI.

You have knowledge of database concepts such as cloud data warehouse and architecture, and you understand Data modeling, ELT and data pipelines.  You excel and thrive in bridging IT and business. Experience from international and complex organizations is a strong advantage.

You are a self-driven, structured professional who enjoys working in a dynamic environment. You communicate clearly, listen actively, and know how to influence and align stakeholders. Problem-solving and initiative-taking come naturally to you. You have the ability to explain technical concepts to a business team.
