The scope

Join Swedish Match and Business Unit International in our vision to create a World Without Cigarettes.

Cigarette smoking shortens the life of just over 6 million people annually. Smoking rates decline at a far too slow pace. In fact, so slow that tomorrow holds more smokers than todays´1.2 billion due to population growth. By outperforming the deadly cigarette with attractive and far less harmful products that attract smokers, we can create a better world. Our successes in Sweden and Norway, whose result is reflected in public health statistics, are far too good for us not to share with the rest of the world.

Therefore, we have created Business Unit International with the purpose to expand the Swedish Match smoke-free product portfolio footprint in Europe (ex Nordics), Asia, South America, Africa and Middle East. Our current priority is to rapidly make ZYN nicotine pouches available world-wide, buildup a strong commercial network and win the hearts and minds of the consumers. At the same time, we want to work in harmony with the trends of society and politics.

The role

As a Brand & Trade Manager with us, you will take ownership of selected markets in Europe, working closely together with our Sales Manager for the same region. You will be responsible for all launches of products in your markets, when and how we activate them and how we secure the best visibility in store. You will be allied with local distributors, partners and in close dialogue with public affairs, securing our ideal execution per market.

This is a permanent and full-time position based at our Swedish Match headquarter in central Stockholm, but traveling frequently to secure solid relationships in your region will be necessary. You report to our Manager Brand & Trade Europe.

Main Tasks:

  • Plan and execute all Brand and Trade programs + local marketing programs in close collaboration with sales managers and local partners.
  • Provide the necessary tools and support for all partners to create perfect store visibility.
  • Ensure up to date local launch support and optimized marketing plans.
  • Evaluate and communicate progress on your markets.
  • Be the main contact for our Sales Managers and external marketing agencies.

Your qualifications and personal attributes:

To succeed in this position, you need outstanding communication and collaboration skills. You have a growth mind-set and can be highly structured, yet also flexible to adapt and adjust in changing conditions. You have a strong drive for new business development and a competitive edge to win new ground. You thrive in cross-functional collaboration and have a drive to align with Sales Managers and partners to translate overreaching marketing strategy into commercially successful marketing programs.

You are dedicated to performing flawless brand and trade execution in a broad spectrum including communications, instore as well as online marketing. You strive to constantly seek improvements and quickly adapt to new environments and implement new solutions. Naturally, you can wow us with some solid examples of how you have done this in similar settings before.
