Marketing Professional Bakery – Sweden and Denmark

Barilla, a Family company originally established in 1877 as a bread and pasta shop in Parma, is today one of the top Italian food groups: a leader in the pasta business worldwide, in the pasta sauces business in continental Europe, in the bakery products business in Italy and in the crisp bread business in Scandinavia through the Wasa brand.

Would you like to join our professional team as an Interim Marketing Professional to help us build winning marketing plans for Bakery in Sweden and Denmark? Do you have the skills to dive in and secure clear communication, brand activation and effective promotions? Are you analytical and strategic with a solid track record of innovation and product launches? If so, and given that you have a genuine interest in food, retail and industry trends, we want to hear from you!

We are now looking to fill a temporary position as Marketing Professional to take the responsibility for Bakery in Sweden and Denmark. In this role, you will contribute to the definition and execution of the most effective marketing plans for our iconic brand Wasa, developing our sales, profit and positions in Sweden and Denmark. The position is based in Stockholm and you will report to Marketing Manager Bakery, Northern Europe.

Key Accountabilities

As Marketing Professional within Bakery for Sweden and Denmark you will be a key member to help define, propose and ensure the following:

  • Marketing plans for Wasa in line with budget and company targets
  • Most effective communication plan, brand activation, promo activities and monitoring the effects of these
  • Ideal local product portfolio by country (sizing and assortment) according to local needs
  • Evaluate innovations for the local market and successfully secure new product launches in the market, defining detailed marketing mix and launch plan
  • Continuous monitoring of the business and brand performance making adjustments in plan to secure company targets.
  • Secure alignment in plan with Trade Marketing, KAM, as well as all other relevant functions in the organisation to secure our company targets

Please note that this is an interim contract during the period of June 2016 to March 2017.

About you

To succeed in this role you need to have an academic degree in business, management, marketing or equivalent and approximately 1-3 years of work experience from the FMCG industry. Marketing experience will be considered an advantage. You are fluent in English and Swedish, both verbal and written, and have a strong business acumen.

As a person you are analytical, highly motivated and result oriented and you are able to adapt to unforeseen changes. Further you have strong verbal skills and the passion for what you do is clearly visible in your leadership and results.
