Galderma – Key Account Manager

Are you a driven Key Account Manager, wanting to develop yourself within consumer care in pharmacies? Do you have a lot of energy, out of the box strategic thinking and want to work with strong growing brands? Then you are probably the Key Account Manager we are looking for.

Galderma, a global company with a dermatology focus, wholly owned by Nestlé Skin Health, is recruiting a driven Key Account Manager to take your selected customers and the focus brand to the next level. You will, as a Key Account Manager, have the full responsibility for developing and executing strategies and marketing plans for your customers. You will manage the multi-level relationships with customers and partners as well as building long term strategic relationships.

Galderma’s goal is to offer innovative medical solutions to people’s dermalogical needs during the different phases in life. As a Key Account Manager, you will play a key role in developing and delivering Galderma’s Consumer business aspirations. You will report to the Team Manager at Consumer Care and also work in close collaboration with him in driving successful sales. The position is based at Galderma’s office in Uppsala.

Being a Key Account Manager at Galderma

As a Key Account Manager, you will have the full responsibility for the customer portfolio. You will bring fresh insights into the customer’s business that will help them to achieve and exceed commercial ambitions. You will also work closely within the Galderma organization, where you will find resources and skills to further develop customer and partner solutions.

You will act like a Business Manager for your customers and develop joint strategies that are mutually beneficial to all partners within the account. You will have great potential in making a real difference in developing and driving the customer accounts for the Galderma’s skin care brands and work in a team of professionals across the Nordic countries.

As a Key Account Manager at Galderma you need to be strategic, as well as operational and agile, always looking at new possibilities and doing things differently. You probably have a good understanding of how to drive successful sales and you know how to successfully navigate in these environments.

Responsibilities

Core mission:

To service and develop strong commercial relationships with selected Nordic pharmacies and retailers to achieve profitable business relationships, delivering on growth and strategic plans.

To lead the development and execution of sales plans in collaboration with marketing strategy within these accounts increasing retail efficiency and driving market penetration.

Transform the voice of the customer into category solutions.

  • Achievement of annual sales and gross margin targets for channels and customers.
  • Integration of the voice of the retailer and shopper into marketing plans to develop leading sales campaigns and business plans.
  • Primary contact to develop relationship with national accounts in the Nordics including brand review, new launches, new planograms and promotional activity.
  • Develop, together with marketing, relevant trade promotional activity (in-store campaigns) in the context of the marketing strategy, including tracking & ROI optimisation.
  • In collaboration with marketing, develop a sales launch plan and launch all new products to trade.
  • Develop customer orientated category solutions for the Galderma portfolio.
  • Lead the development and negotiation of annual Terms of Trade agreements, including investment allocations, stock weight, share of shelf, planograms, promotional activity and relevant tracking documentation
  • Manage the trade promotions budget.
  • Provide monthly business reviews including sales, growth, promotional activity with ROI, distribution, competitor movement and trade activity
  • Forecast and track annual promotional uplift by brand and group within the Galderma forecasting system. Monitor and manage inventory aligned with the promotional plan.
  • Develop relevant templates in a central location (compliance reports, account plans, promotional plans) to increase efficiencies and build a business memory.
  • Attain a high level of knowledge relating to trade groups, designated brands, diseases and conditions (and associated treatments, as well as relevant competitive products)
  • Work closely together with all local and global departments

Requirements:

  • Business acumen / commercial awareness; analytical entrepreneur style
  • Positive “can do” attitude and out of the box thinking
  • Experience in, or an interest in learning more about, the Pharmacy channel
  • Ability to manage and analyze large volumes of data
  • Commercial drive / result oriented
  • Business planning and organizational skills
  • Negotiator with influencing power
  • Good understanding of the sales cycles
  • Flexible and creative thinker
  • Active networker who knows how to maintain relationships and grow the business together with customers
  • Initiative: follows market developments and advices management about business opportunities
  • Good presentation skills
  • Can work independently, but has good team spirit
  • Passion for cosmetics and health care

Work Experience:

  • Experience from a similar role or related business with a willingness to learn more about new customers
  • Experience within account management responsibility as well as product listings
  • Strong understanding of application of sales levers to specific customer and market dynamics

Education/Other:

  • University degree in Business Management (or equivalent)
  • Languages: Swedish and very good knowledge of Business English (written and spoken)
  • Driving Licence
  • Computer skills: Microsoft Office
