Brenntag Nordic – Business Development Manager, Pharma/Medico

Brenntag Nordic – part of the Brenntag Group, the global market leader in chemical distribution – is now looking for a driven Business Development Manager, who will have a vital commercial role within the Pharma and Medico area. We are looking for a new colleague since we are extending our successful team. You will have the privilege to work with products directly related to health and well-being. About the role

The position is based at either our office in Malmö or Stockholm and you will report to the Nordic Business Manager, Cosmetic & Pharma. You will be part of a successful, collaborative team with 9 colleagues across the Nordic region, where you have competent colleagues within Product Management, Account Management, Business Development, QSHE, Customer Service etc. Within this Nordic team you will have a strong commercial role and benefit from highly competent colleagues, where you work together to sustain the success of this business area.

You will spend much time making business happen and travelling is required. You will cover primarily Sweden and Finland (approx. 7 days travel/month which you plan flexibly).

Your key responsibilities

• Profit and loss responsibility within designated sales area and customers.

• The position includes focusing on both new customers and sales development on existing already strong customer relationships within the segments.

• Responsible for selling products to customers with sufficient potential.

• Takes personal responsibility for successfully closing nominated customer projects.

• Frequent dialogue with internal stakeholders, ensuring progression and success.

• Fully cooperates with Business Manager, Product Manager, Internal Account Manager, QSHE and Customer Service Representatives.

Experience and competences

To succeed in this position you have a strong commercial mindset and get energy from client contacts, making business happen, being a strong partner to your client in developing your client´s business. You have an academic degree in the science field alternatively you have a professional background, where you have acquired a good understanding within the area of science. It is beneficial if you have professional experience from the chemical sector or the Pharma/Medico sector.

You have the ability to work on all organizational levels in Nordic, dealing with many different stakeholders and entities. With your excellent business acumen, you execute strategies aligned with company goals. You are fluent in Swedish and English.

As a person you enjoy a fast-paced environment and with your open-minded approach you have a proactive approach. You have excellent teamwork skills and your communication and negotiation skills are convincing.
